Hitori no Shita: The Outcast Zhang Chulan adalah seorang mahasiswa biasa yang kemudian terjebak dalam insiden mengerikan yang terjadi di sebuah desa kecil. Saat Chulan berjalan melalui area kuburan, dia diserang oleh zombie. Di tengah situasi itu, seorang gadis misterius dengan membawa pedang tiba-tiba datang mengelamatkannya dan segera menghilang. Namun, tak lama kemudian dia melihat gadis yang telah menyelamatkan nyawanya itu ada di universitasnya. Sejak saat itu, kehidupan biasa Zhang Chulan mulai bergerak lebih cepat dan menyeretnya dalam pertempuran antar pemilik kemampuan khusus .
