Gabriel DropOut bercerita tentang Gabriel Tenma White atau “Gabriel” yang merupakan seorang malaikat , setelah lulus dari sekolah malaikat dirinya di wajibkan untuk meneruskan sekolah di dunia manusia dan mempelajari sifat-sifat manusia dari dekat . Sebagai murid teladan di sekolah malaikat Gabriel sangat percaya diri bisa hidup di dunia manusia dengan membantu banyak orang dan meluruskan mereka ke jalan yang benar .
Tapi ternyata di dunia manusia terlalu banyak cobaan terutama permainan vidio game yang membuat dirinya terlena dan berubah menjadi seorang NEET atau mungkin malaikat yang gagal (malaikat jatuh) . Bersama dengan teman-temannya satu maialikat bernama Gabriel dan dua Iblis yang bernama Vignette dan Satanichia . Gabriel harus hidup di dunia manusia dan mencari pencerahan atas kesesatan pada dirinya
