Giovanni no Shima (Giovanni’s Island) Giovanni no Shima (Pulau Giovanni), menceritakan tentang kisah kakak beradik yang tinggal di pulau kecil bernama Shikotan. Keluarga mereka dan warga pulau mendengar tentang kekalahan Jepang dalam perang dan dihimbau untuk tidak panik. Namun, pulau tempat mereka tinggal terjebak dalam konflik berkelanjutan di negara barat dan diserbu oleh para tentara Rusia. Kedua kakak beradik itu bertemu dengan seorang gadis berkebangsaan Rusia bernama Tanya. Terlepas dari hambatan bahasa, perbedaan budaya, dan peringatan dari teman-temannya, Junpei (Giovanni) mulai jatuh cinta dengan gadis itu.
